Kid's Area

Kid's Area

The BigTopMania Crew, the people behind the ace Kid's area at Bestival 2007, are bringing their 50ft Big Top, a Crafts Marquee, a Toddlers Under 5s Area, Jan's infamous Van and an outdoor play area to Camp Bestival to help entertain the kids. They have tons of experience providing activities, performance and family orientated festival ingredients.

Camp Bestival as a whole will be very family friendly. There will tons of things around the whole site to explore, activate and entertain - from puppet shows to maypole dancing, trapeze workshops to magic, feeding the farm animals to jousting... and much much more!

But a very special corner of the Castle garden is reserved for children and it will be rammed with entertainment and play activities, space hoppers, hula hoops, crazy bikes, circus skills and wacky toys. There will be shows from BigTopMania (peteza and mini circus show), the Treehouse Theatre Company presenting their interactive show “Tale-enders”, Clown Big Foot (clown shows) plus a kids talent show and disco.

Activities will include trapeze workshops and crazy inflatables, Jan’s van (from painting her van to chalkboards to whirling dervishes and the kid's Can-Can), Gobbledegook Theatre (wind up toy races, storytelling and bedtime stories), Tatty Bumpkin Kids yoga, and the Parachute family (parachute games with kids). Plus there will be crafts in the marquee from Caz and Jo (make and take crafts - great take home souvenirs!), Weaveworld (making woven articles), MoMosaics (making mini mosaics), the ScrapArtCrew (making Bestival Beasties), Festival StickerArt (things made from recycled stickers - festivalstickerart.com) and lovely walkabout shows from The Pirate Fairies (they have a barrel of laughs..you may have seen them at Bestival!).

Plus, not forgetting the very little ones, a sectioned off part of the children’s area is dedicated to enabling your Toddlers to have fun too. From train sets to home play, sand, brio, play dough and story books all ensure that you can chill out in a comfortable environment whilst your little ones are able to play in their own little world.

The kids will also have their very own Dressing Up Shop, complete with a cat walk to show off their outfits. There will be loads of fun workshops - crown making, costume making, photobooth and face painting plus there will be a Children's Fancy Dress Parade on Sunday afternoon round the Garden field finishing with a grand finale on the insect stage hosted by Mike Cuban and the Lost and Found gang - everyone is a winner!

And a kids area would be complete without an ace Bouncy Castle!

So don’t leave them at Grannies - bring the kids along and they can party too!!!
